About Kenzo

The Dr in Alternative/Complimentary Medicine

My interest in natural/complimentary therapies started when I was 18 years old, and has remained an integral part of all aspects of my life. Natural therapies was the underpinning of my Ph.D. and my first book: The Effects of Shamanic Healing and Other Healing Practices on General Well-Being.

The Transpersonal Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Counselling and psychotherapy has played an important role in my life, not just as a therapist but also as a supervisor; it has also informed my shamanic practice and Ph.D.

The Author

I have loved books all my life, I started writing in 2014. I have 5 books that are currently available to purchase and 2 more which are currently being updated and revised. I am a member of, and have an author profile with the Society of Authors (SoA).

The Shaman

My shamanic apprenticeship started in 1996 with Spirit and lasted 20yrs, but my spiritual journey and learning continues. My role as a shaman encompassed all of my life training and experience and that, plus my personal walk with Spirit/God/Great Mystery (call IT what you may) continues to inform my life, my life has been a path of fire and great sacrifice.

The Mystic

A personal relationship with the Divine Source/Great Spirit (many names – but yet unnameable) has been prominent all my life, with my first remembrance of encounters happening as young as 5 years old. As an INFJ personality, it stands to reason that my ultimate calling would be as a mystic. My shamanic journey, along with many years of knowledge, training, experience, and insights, have underpinned and been beautifully woven into my tapestry of life. As I move forward in my walk as a mystic, I feel gratitude and offer thanks to my guiding light.

Education & Training

Kenzo started out at eighteen years old as a mental health nurse and is now a Dr in Complimentary and Alternative Medicine (CAM); she holds a Ph.D. with her focus being on The Effects of Shamanic Healing and Other Healing Practices on General Well-Being. Her Ph.D. has been re-worked into a book which is one of the books that is being revised.

Kenzo has worked in the alternative/complimentary field for over four decades in various roles including as a counsellor, psychotherapist, massage therapist and yoga teacher. It was her vast training and experience over the years that influenced and informed her role as a shaman. With that in mind, her focus for reading and writing tends to be more towards CAM, healing, and other spiritually orientated books that she finds to be interesting, thought provoking and leading to personal growth.

Photography is Kenzo’s hobby, it is a passion, for her, photographs are Moments Frozen in Time that tell stories, and the stories they tell depend upon the perception of what we see. The majority of her photographs are to do with nature, specifically flowers. Kenzo feels that nature has the power to heal, that it can speak softly to our heart if we permit it the time to do so. She believes that from healing comes growth, and through growth we are able to offer the world the best of ourselves.

Her message to us all is to slow down, sit in nature, be inwardly still, breathe deeply and accept the gifts of nature that are readily available to those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear. The wall art that she sells is her own work and she never sells or creates AI generated images. Her photography is also available as licensed digital downloads.
