The Anguish of Separation

The Anguish of Separation

Separated in body
But not in soul
Unbearable tension
Only you can console.

I feel like my chest
Will split open in two
The feeling is tremendous
What about you?

Like a thick rubber band
Holding us together
It seems we cannot
Be parted – ever.

For being apart
Pulls tight on the band
Causing unbelievable tension
Flinging us back – hand in hand.

All I can say is
What God brings together
Will not be parted
Now – or forever.

You Cry for Freedom

You Cry for Freedom

You spent so many years
Living on your own
But then you wanted someone
Who you could call your own.

You try so very hard
To live a couples life
But deep inside your heart
Your ache is not your wife.

Inside you cry for freedom
To wander at your will
Without the daily shackles
Of ‘must do’s’ and ‘pay the bill.’

I hear it in your song darling
I see it in your eyes
Better you disappoint me
Than you make your souls heart cry.

For nothing saddens me more
Than to see a bird in a cage
Feeling trapped and confined
And at times feeling deep rage.

So fly my sweetest love bird
I release your aching heart
You were never truly mine
Make a brand new start.

Grow Your Divine Attachment

Grow Your Divine Attachment

Earthly attachments hold us bound in love
The only attachment needs to be to the Divine above
Who also lives within us each day
And shines through us when allowed to stay.

The attachment flows from Heaven to Earth
A cylindrical vortex created at birth
We live and dance the God we love
Truly married to the force from above.

Connected as energy plugged into the source
An unfathomable Divine but part of the course
When we are truly attached and deeply in love
We need no other but the source from above.

The source from above meets all our needs
Not necessarily our wants or even our greed
But fulfils spiritual longing and gives us much more
And is there when its good and when we weep on the floor.

Our physical connections merely colour our life
Our friends, family, husbands and wife’s
They help us to grow and evolve every day
But don’t get attached for you will give power away.

Stand strong on your own as part of the whole
Don’t hold back, fulfil your designated roll
Don’t focus on horizontals, they are second not first
For God you must hunger, hunger and thirst.

And then you will see and feel God within
And finally the fight with your flesh you will win
For life is about learning, becoming Divine
Where spiritual waters will taste like sweet wine.

An Ancient Soul

An Ancient Soul

I’m sixty next year,
“A Senior” they say.
That can’t be right,
It’s just another day.

I’m an ancient soul,
On an eternal time line.
So the title ‘Senior,
Really isn’t mine.

Age is a number,
We all know that’s true.
But what really matters,
Is the good that we do.

So don’t call me ‘Senior,’
Don’t call me ‘Old.’
I’m an ‘Ancient Soul,’
Consider yourself told!

My Beloved

My Beloved

The sounds of your chatter,
Your laughter, your smile.
You lit up my life,
For a very long while.

You touched me so deeply,
You pulled at my heart.
And now you’re not here,
Life’s fallen apart.

But for you I will live,
Forever and a day.
Until once again,
We meet, come what may.

I’ll not lose my hope,
Nor end my new life,
For I know you are watching,
My beloved, My Wife.

Release from Suffering

Release from Suffering

No more suffering,
And no more pain.
I know your life,
Won’t be the same.

But honey, please,
Remember this.
I finally have,
My heart felt wish.

I now can truly,
Start to fly.
No more heartache,
I no longer cry.

I feel the wind,
Beneath my wings.
My Spirit is free,
And my Soul doth sing.

Don’t Fool with God

Don’t Fool with God

Don’t fool with God,
He’s not your brother.
He’s not your sister,
Significant other.

He knows your heart,
He sees your sin.
You need forgiveness,
So let Him in.

We’ve all fallen short,
We’ve all needed grace.
It seems to be,
The human race.

We’ve all lost touch,
Of our God Divine.
We take things for granted,
What’s yours is mine.

We search in the world,
For Heavenly love.
Not realizing,
That it comes from above.

It comes from a source,
We cannot see.
A loving Father,
He wants to be.

Don’t fool with God,
It’s not very smart.
He’s looking within,
At your very heart.

He sees every breath,
Whether in or out.
He knows if you love Him,
Of that there’s no doubt.

He’s looking for people,
Whose love is true.
Those are the ones,
Who will make it through.

Those are the ones,
Who will sit at His throne.
Singing, dancing,
Praying prone.

Don’t fool with God,
He’s beginning and end.
Open your heart,
And His love He will send.

Chant Words of Praise

Chant Words of Praise

Chant the words of praise each day,
Keep the devil far away.
Keep your thoughts pure and clean,
Then your halo will be seen.

Glory, glory Angels voices,
Singing praises for your choices.
Singing, dancing cheering on,
Closer to the throne you’ve gone.

Chant the words of praise each day,
Positioned prone in a humble way.
Praise and glory will fill your heart,
Sanctification will surely start.

The key is not to just receive,
That idea you must leave.
A relationship of love takes two,
That is surely Christ and YOU.

CHRISTmas Morning

Christmas Morning

4.30 Christmas Morning,
When most are normally sleeping.
Little girls and boys,
Are quite often found a peeking.

Trying not to wake their parents,
They excitedly scan the tree.
With little screams of joy,
As they shout – “for you, for me.”

Once again Christmas Morning,
When most are normally sleeping.
Some little girls and boys,
Are quite often found a weeping.

Trying not to wake their parents,
Whose lives are filled with toil.
And who thank the blessed Lord,
For the rice they have to boil.

For life is not the same,
For everyone on the earth.
So please let’s not lose sight,
Christmas is about a birth.

A birth of our dear Saviour,
A birth that brings us hope.
And when life is really bad,
He is the antidote.

My Christmas Poem

My Christmas Poem

No Christmas tree, No Christmas tree,
No fairy lights or balls.
No gifts to self, no packages,
No trips to market stalls.

No discontent, no arguments,
No tears or loneliness.
Much joy and inner peace I have,
All without the stress.

I join with those who have not much,
If anything at all.
In solidarity I stand,
Fulfilling the inner call.

For Christmas isn’t for getting,
But giving what you can.
To all those individuals,
The poor, that lonely man.

For Christmas is a birthday,
I hope you did remember.
The best present to give,
Is when you do surrender.

Don’t worry about the trimmings,
Dead Turkey on your plate.
Don’t worry about the wine,
And staying up so late.

Remember though this birthday,
And don’t forget compassion.
The wine of forgiveness,
Of these there is no ration.

Celebrate with love,
With hope and spiritual bread.
For the Lord is still living,
He’s certainly not dead.

Celebrate with gratitude,
And you’ll never, ever be bored.
And remember that this season,
Is just about the Lord.

More Than What You See

More Than What You See

Clouds slowly danced across the November sky,
Splashes of blue painted the picture bright.
The wind was sleeping giving all a rest,
The rain had stopped, I’m feeling blest.

I wandered into the forest deep,
Where there I found someone asleep.
I tried to quietly go on by,
But the leaves were crisp and noisily dry.

I passed on by and saw old lady May,
The town witch, or so the town people say.
She looked quite old as she sat right up,
And helped herself from a flask pouring tea in a cup.

She called me over, I went with dismay,
I wanted to hear what she had to say.
She said “Don’t believe everything you’ve heard,
I’m not a witch that is absurd.

But what I do is heal deep grief,
Through my prayers I bring great relief.
I make their life a better place,”
I could see compassion in her face.

And from that day I changed the story,
To May, I brought much more glory.
For all she did was good and pure,
And I always welcome her at my door.

Fires Of Love

Fires Of Love

Through the tempest fires of love,
I reached great heights, like a dove.
I flew beyond all rhyme and reason,
Falling in love, a permanent season.

When fast in love, no critique found,
Feet no longer on the ground.
Nothing could he do me wrong,
Love and laughter was our song.

Then one day a storm did come,
And just as said by everyone.
He walked away as fast as he came,
My heart shattered, t’was all in vain.

Wake Up, Wake Up

Wake Up, Wake Up

T’was in the early hours of day,
When most are sleeping hours away.
I sat quite still, an owl I heard,
I understood, quite absurd.
He said that much of life goes by,
When sleeping late with heavy eye.
It stops us greeting our dear sun,
Wake up, wake up, everyone.

The Butterfly

The Butterfly

Today I saw a butterfly,
With colours bright and bold.
It seemed to fly around me,
A message – I was told.

It said to look inwards,
And see how much I’ve grown.
It said to take the time,
To look deep, to be bold.

I did just as it said,
And to my great relief.
Pictures of my past,
Floated down like Autumn leaves.

I saw the things accomplished,
And realized today.
That it doesn’t really matter,
What others have to say.

It was a sweet reminder,
That all the things I’ve done.
I’ve done because they matter,
To me – not everyone.

In The Stillness of The Night

In The Stillness of The Night

In the stillness of the night,
I hear the song of birds.
It’s music to my ears,
Have you truly heard?

They’re singing songs of life,
And sharing secrets deep.
If you really start to listen,
You’ll surely start to weep.

They’re sharing rhythm and rhyme,
They’re sharing stories of old.
They’re sharing forgotten secrets,
Try to listen, please be bold.

Then you’ll feel the pleasure,
Of sitting in the night.
When many are a sleeping,
Waiting for the light.

Spirit Breathes Me

Spirit Breathes Me

Spirit breathes me,
And I’m carried by the earth.
Seeing Spirits,
Since the day of my birth.

Feeling really blessed,
For what I can see.
I know I’m looked after,
It’s just Spirit and me.

Quiet like a hermit,
I live from day to day.
Always listening,
But not much to say.

For all that I know,
I can’t put into form.
And that is the way,
It’s been since I was born.

Darkness Fills My Heart

Darkness Fills My Heart

My baby went back home today,
My heart is torn in two.
I know he’s gone home to the Lord,
And there’s nothing I can do.

I wouldn’t wish this deep dark pain,
To strike another’s heart.
But what I’d give to have him back,
And to never, ever part.

But hopes and dreams remain just that,
So there’s no more point in dreaming.
But I can’t cope with all this pain,
I truly feel like screaming.

I know the Lord, He has a plan,
But why my baby boy?
I’m now just left in tatters,
Sleeping with a toy.

Nothing can mend this canyon,
That I can feel inside.
Nor fix this broken heart of mine,
I truly want to die.

I don’t want food nor water,
I just want my baby boy.
He was my life and love,
He brought me so much joy.

The only hope I have right now,
Is that he’s in good hands.
And that one day not far away,
I’ll follow him to that land.

A land where peace flows freely,
Like a stream from far away.
Where all my pain and sorrows,
Will make room for love to stay.

He’s Not A Dream

He’s Not A Dream

His face is like the moonlight,
It brings light to all dark places.
His smile sparkles like stars,
It brightens up all faces.

His lips are ruby red,
And taste as sweet as wine.
They feel so soft and gentle,
As they press themselves on mine.

Each morning on awakening,
I turn around to see.
That my true love is real,
And that he’s sleeping next to me.
